WebGLitch is a free Chrome extension that applies real-time WebGL shader effects to any webpage you visit. Apply stunning visual presets — glitch distortions, color grading, chromatic aberration, CRT scanlines, and more — directly in your browser using GPU-accelerated WebGL shaders.

How WebGLitch Works

WebGLitch injects a full-screen WebGL canvas overlay on top of any webpage. The active shader preset runs continuously at full GPU speed, transforming the visual appearance of the site in real-time. Toggle the effect on or off at any time through the extension popup. No page reloads, no performance impact on the underlying website.

Real WebGL Shaders — Not CSS Filters

Unlike browser extensions that use CSS filter effects, WebGLitch uses actual GLSL shaders running on the GPU. This allows complex visual effects like glitch distortion, scanlines, pixel sorting, chromatic aberration, and animated noise that are impossible with CSS alone.
